Extension & iNTERNAL aLTERATIONS

Light, open, beautiful interiors and a cosy homely feel.

Key aspects to this project

  • Internal alterations at ground floor and single storey rear extension (Approx. 27m2) to create larger kitchen, dining, breakfast bar area with sitting area.

  • Connection to existing dining room with option to close off area when required.

  • Extension to have lots of light and open feeling.

This extension was clad in red and buff brick to tie in with the existing house with feature header bricks above the windows and doors. Dark grey windows and doors add a modern twist to define the extension area and a flat roof allows for large roof windows above to flood the extension with light.

The client's previous kitchen was dark and disconnected from the garden and the rest of the houses' living spaces. The extension allowed for a large kitchen with a breakfast bar island that connects directly with the garden and leads directly to a snug and into the existing dining room.

The snug is a beautiful space to spend time in for the whole family.

This extension shows that you can achieve something pretty spectacular within the scope of Permitted Development (I.e - planning permission not required, although we did apply for a certificate of lawfulness to confirm with the council).
