Internal Alterations & Interior Design
Doune Crescent’s previous layout wasn’t working for the client as they more space, to add light and freshen the place up so that it was a joy to be in!
Houlet Studio was commissioned to design internal alterations to the existing kitchen and snug to make it open plan kitchen with a sitting area including breakfast bar seating. Following this interior design services were provided to fulfil the look and feel the client desired.
KEY ASPECTS TO THIS PROJECT
Internal alterations to existing kitchen and snug to make open plan kitchen / sitting area with breakfast bar seating.
One glazed opening centred on hallway to kitchen / sitting area.
Large opening created to the garden to maximise the amount of light and view to the garden.
New Kitchen installed with New American Style Fridge/Freezer added.
Decking to rear and utility retained.
After initial concepts, the client decided on the purchase of a new sofa bed which freed up the colour scheme.
A palette of teals and blues was the preference with a feature wallpapered wall.
Existing oak timber kitchen cabinets and layout were asked to be maintained with slight alterations to accommodate a breakfast bar and new fridge / freezer.
