Internal ALTERATIONS AND INTERIOR DESIGN

Regwood Street’s previous Kitchen was dark, cramped and had a lack of storage.

Houlet Studio was commisioned to create internal alterations within the kitchen to remove a load-bearing wall to open up the space and to re-design the existing kitchen by providing interior design services.

KEY ASPECTS TO THIS DESIGN

  • Cupboard and nook removed and structural beams installed to create large open space.

  • Tall cabinets and american style fridge/freezer located at newly opened area incorporating high level double oven for safety and larder unit.

  • Bank of base cabinets to right of window incorporating hob. No wall cabinets to visually free up space.

  • Shelving maintained at high level for cookbooks and styling purposes.

  • Boiler location moved over to streamline cabinets and housed within cabinet.

  • Sink located within window not inset to allow 600mm worktop to create continuous worktop all way round and centred on window.

  • Integrated dishwasher beside sink area.

  • Bank of base and wall units to left of window to maximise storage.

  • Freestanding table located for ease of access to door and to create breakfast area within kitchen.
