Internal ALTERATIONS AND INTERIOR DESIGN
Regwood Street’s previous Kitchen was dark, cramped and had a lack of storage.
Houlet Studio was commisioned to create internal alterations within the kitchen to remove a load-bearing wall to open up the space and to re-design the existing kitchen by providing interior design services.
KEY ASPECTS TO THIS DESIGN
Cupboard and nook removed and structural beams installed to create large open space.
Tall cabinets and american style fridge/freezer located at newly opened area incorporating high level double oven for safety and larder unit.
Bank of base cabinets to right of window incorporating hob. No wall cabinets to visually free up space.
Shelving maintained at high level for cookbooks and styling purposes.
Boiler location moved over to streamline cabinets and housed within cabinet.
Sink located within window not inset to allow 600mm worktop to create continuous worktop all way round and centred on window.
Integrated dishwasher beside sink area.
Bank of base and wall units to left of window to maximise storage.
Freestanding table located for ease of access to door and to create breakfast area within kitchen.
